Tracey Jane is a flower landscape artist based in Surrey, UK. Tracey's floral landscape paintings are often vibrant and colourful. Her contemporary style of art depicts wildflower meadows and particularly poppies.
Like so many of us, I love flowers, colour, warm skies and the sun. These are the beautiful things that often inspire my work.
Before I begin a new painting, I have an image in my mind that I would like to create and the feeling I want to capture. That often stems from nature; wildflowers, landscapes and the sky, which I find almost magical. My pieces don’t always end up as I first imagine but evolve as I’m working. I hope they give you as much pleasure and joy to view as it does when I paint them.
With my Poppy Series I wanted to create a collection of paintings that would fuel the emotions of all ages, young and old. I was inspired and hugely moved by the installation of poppies at the Tower of London commemorating the centenary of WW1 in 2014.
I am incredibly proud that two of these paintings are situated in The Poppy Factory in Richmond.
I show my work several times throughout the year, mainly in Surrey, and details of these exhibitions will be in the News & Events page of my website (see link above).
