I studied Art to A Level and then children and teaching
commitments came along. After 30 years teaching, I was medically retired and moved out of London 4 years ago. I now live in Oxfordshire.
This has given me a wonderful opportunity to pursue and develop my art. A member of my local Art Society for nearly 4 years now, I have greatly enjoyed discovering and learning to use different styles, subjects and mediums . Colour is very important to me and I love to explore ways of representing colours through different mediums.
I have done a variety of commissions, from dogs to houses, and have recently started a website selling limited edition affordable prints of my work.
Thank you for taking time to view my Artwork.
I exhibit and sell my work twice a year at our Art Society Exhibitions which are invitation only.
I took part in the Cotswold's Hare Trail last year which helped to raise money for conservation projects in this area of outstanding natural beauty. My Hare was a tribute to those who lost their lives fighting for our country and freedom. It was called At the Going Down of the Sun and was decorated with Poppies, a flower that I love and have painted on many occasions.I was delighted that he sold at Auction for over £1000 !
I also exhibit and sell my work from some local businesses, which have been very supportive of me and my work.
